Hi there! I’m so happy you’ve found your way to my blog: The Modern Farmhouse. My name is Amber, and I live west of Chicago with my husband and 2 boys. I work full-time in HR but truly love home decorating and design!
I consider my style a mix of classic and modern farmhouse–think Pottery Barn without exclusively shopping there. I try to recreate looks I see online by mixing styles and designs. My dream would be to help others create their dream spaces and homes.
We built our house in 2015 and have worked hard to redesign, refresh, and remodel various parts of the house to make it our own. We are not experts but do much of the DIY ourselves with the help of my amazing dad who has worked in construction his entire life.
